2022: 8 coaches at institution in Marshall County earned on average $21,722

Marshall County’s eight coaches earned an average salary of $21,722 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the seventh lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at Alabama post-secondary schools during 2022.

Marshall County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $27,191 on average in Marshall County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $18,440.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
