2021 has 3.9% of Marshall County residents unemployed

Marshall County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,640 people out of the 97,179 living in Marshall County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Marshall County has increased compared to the 3.7% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Marshall County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.4%.

Of the 40,436 people who had a job during that time, 42 were employed in the Armed Forces and 40,394 belonged to the civilian labor force.
