4.3% of citizens unemployed in DeKalb County in 2021

DeKalb County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,330 people out of the 71,554 living in DeKalb County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in DeKalb County has decreased compared to the 4.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in DeKalb County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.4%.

Of the 29,950 people who had a job during that time, 24 were employed in the Armed Forces and 29,926 belonged to the civilian labor force.
