DeKalb County Deputies along with K-9 Unit, Narcotics Unit. Criminal Investigations, Collinsville PD, Sylvania PD, Crossville PD and Henagar Pd seized 139.5 grams methamphetamine, 26 grams marijuana, 1 gram heroin, 3 grams fentanyl and 30 grams cocaine during the month of February.  Also, 39 that were charged with drug related charges.  The war on drugs seems never-ending, but getting this poison off the streets and out of the hands of our children is what we are fighting for. 

I can never express how truly grateful and blessed we are to have such good working relationships with all Law Enforcement Agencies in this county and our neighboring counties.  Thank you all for all that you do and continue to do.

On Wednesday, February 1st, DeKalb County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on County Road 52 in the Dawson area finding the driver to be in possession of marijuana.  Thomas Butch Willoughby (48 of Dawson) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Thursday February 2nd, after receiving several complaints of drug activity at a residence on County Road 21 in Crossville, Narcotics Agents and Deputies went to the residence to follow up.  During a search of the residence, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was found.  Thomas Keith Roden (58 of Crossville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and one warrant for Failure to Appear.

On Friday, February 3rd, DeKalb County Deputies, along with Investigators went to a residence on County Road 479 in Kilpatrick looking for an individual who they had active warrants for.  While there, they made contact with Miguel Angel Ramos (31 of Albertville) who was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Ramos was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Pistol Possession, Drunk/Addict.

Also, on Friday, Deputies, along with Investigators went to a residence on Hwy 68 to follow up on several complaints.  While there, Officers immediately saw illegal substances in the home and a small child.  Misty Cassandra Bruce (51 of Albertville), Jacob Walker Gore (31 of Albertville), Sonny Aaron Gipson (43 of Albertville) and Damien Matthew Owens (44 of Albertville) were all charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Chemical Endangerment of Exposing a Child.

Again, on Friday, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 68 in Kilpatrick with one occupant giving a false name to the officer.  Also, found in the vehicle were prescription pills that neither had a prescription for.  Daniel Bonilla (26 of Boaz) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Giving False ID to LE Officer and DUI (controlled Substance).  Misty Nicole Aldridge (31 of Gaylesville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On the same day, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 68 finding the driver to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  Keisha Leann Price (33 of Albertville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Friday, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on County Road 52 finding the driver to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  James Edward Barron (40 of Geraldine) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance.

Also, on Friday, Narcotics Agents conducted a vehicle stop on County Road 4 finding the driver to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  Sarah Elizabeth Davis (41 of Boaz) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance.

On Saturday, February 4th, Deputies went to an apartment complex in Fort Payne trying to locate Zachary Wolfgang Snapp (42 of Rainsville) who had active felony warrants. When they arrived, they made contact with Sheena Lashawn Rossmeier (44 of Fort Payne).  Rossmeier advised the Deputies that Snapp was not in the apartment, but was later found to be hiding in the apartment.  Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was also found.  Snapp was charged with Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Probation Violation and two warrants for Failure to Appear.  Rossmeier was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Obstructing Government Operations.

On Sunday, February 5th, Deputies went to a residence in Collinsville to follow up with a report.  While there, they found methamphetamine, controlled narcotics, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Tracy Dwayne Johnson (62 of Collinsville) and Carol Richardson Bailey (56 of Collinsville) were both charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Wednesday, February 8th, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 68 in Collinsville finding the driver to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  Christopher Lee Cornlius (45 of Fort Payne) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Also, on Wednesday, Deputies, along with Narcotics Agents assisted Officers with Collinsville Police Department, at a motel in Collinsville, finding methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the room.  Kenneth Colby Hawkins (40 of Boaz) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Wednesday, February 8thDeputies and Narcotics Agents assisted Officers with Collinsville Police Department execute a search warrant for a room at a motel in Collinsville.  Methamphetamine was found during the search.  Mary Farris (43 of Rainbow City) and Amanda Evelyn Proctor (39 of Collinsville) were both charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Again, on Wednesday, while Deputies, Narcotics Agents and Officers with Collinsville Police Department were at the motel, searched a separate room finding methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the room.  Kristy Kay Fleming (44 unknown) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Thursday, February 16th, Deputies, along with Narcotics Agents had received several complaints about drug use taking place at a residence on Hancock Drive in Rainsville.  During a search, they found marijuana, mushrooms and drug paraphernalia.  Ocean Phoenix Rice (21 of Rainsville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and three warrants for Failure to Appear.  Barry Nathanial Rice (43 of Rainsville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd and four warrants for Failure to Appear.

Also, on Thursday, Narcotics Agents, Deputies and Officers with Sylvania Police Department were on County Road 27 looking for James Monroe Lee (49 of Rainsville), who had several outstanding warrants.  Lee was spotted, and as Deputies attempted to pull him over, he sped off.  After a brief chase, Lee ran his car into two Deputy vehicles and a tree.  A trafficking amount of methamphetamine, as well as suboxone, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of US currency was found in the vehicle.  During a search of Lee's residence, additional methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, marijuana and controlled pills were found.  Lee was treated on scene for injuries he received when he wrecked his vehicle and was later transported to DeKalb Regional for minor injuries.  Lee was charged with Trafficking in Any Illegal Drug, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2), Unlawful Possession of marijuana 1st, Criminal Mischief 1st (x2) Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest, Attempt to Elude and 10 warrants for Failure to Appear.

On Friday, February 17th, Deputies received a call of a burglary in progress on County Road 85.  Narcotics Agents and Deputies spotted the vehicle that was described at the residence and conducted a traffic stop finding methamphetamine and Hydrocodone in the vehicle.  Joseph Wayne Willis (37 of Fort Payne) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2) and Burglary 3rd.  Crystal R Rogers (44 of Valley Head) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2) and Burglary 3rd.

On Saturday, February 18th, Deputies, along with a K-9 Unit, conducted a traffic stop on County Road 94 in Fyffe finding the driver to be in possession of Heroin, Fentanyl and Xanax.  Joshua Dakota Whitmire (31 of Fyffe) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2) and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Sunday, February 19th, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 68 in Dawson.  During a search of the vehicle, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found.  Charles Casey Shelley (43 of Collinsville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  James Matthew Morris Jr (27 of Fyffe) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Prohibited Beverage.

On Thursday, February 23rd, Deputies, along with Officers with Crossville Police Department, went to a residence in the Kilpatrick area to follow up on reports of a stolen vehicle.  After Law Enforcement arrived, they made contact with four individuals, three of whom all had active warrants.  During a search of the residence, methamphetamine was found.  Stacey Burt Crow (53 of Albertville), Brittany Brannon (21 of Boaz) and Michael McCormick (52 of Boaz) were all charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Adam Motley (36 of Boaz) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and one warrant for Failure to Appear.

Also, on Thursday, Deputies were dispatched to County Road 81 and 107 to check on a parked vehicle.  Richard Glen Boyd (51 of Collinsville) was inside the vehicle and in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  Boyd was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Again, on Thursday, Officers with Henagar Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 75 finding the driver to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Samuel Omar Wahdan (31 of Ider) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd.

On Saturday, February 25th, Officers with Henagar Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 75.  During a search of the vehicle, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found.  Nicholas Bradley Chastain (42 of Cleveland, Tn) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Sunday, February 26th, Deputies were in the area of the Econo Lodge in Fort Payne when they heard there had been a call of a male subject hanging around with a gun.  When they were pulling up, they observed a vehicle run through the red light.  Deputies attempted a traffic stop but the driver failed to stop.  After traveling a few miles, the driver pulled over and Deputies quickly noticed that the passenger in the vehicle matched the description of the male subject from the motel.  A K-9 Unit alerted Deputies to something in the vehicle.  A trafficking amount of cocaine, two firearms, ecstasy pills and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.  Eligio Reyes (32 of Corpus Christi, Tx) was charged with Trafficking in any Illegal Drug, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Persons Forbidden to Possess Pistol.  Courtney Gail Lashway (30 of Nassau, Ny) was charged with Endangering Welfare of Child, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Attempt to Elude, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Promote Prison Contraband 2nd and Trafficking in any Illegal Drug.  When Lashway was being booked into the jail, 200 ecstasy pills were found in her possession.

On Tuesday, February 28th, Deputies received several complaints of an intoxicated subject on County Road 709 in Valley Head.  When they arrived, they found Crystal R Rogers (44 of Valley Head) highly intoxicated and in possession of 33 grams of methamphetamine.  Rogers was taken to DeKalb Regional to be evaluated.  Rogers was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Trafficking in any Illegal Drug.
