Two people in Henagar charged with trafficking in methamphetamine

2

A search warrant for a residence in Henagar led to two being charged with trafficking in methamphetamine.

On Friday, April 8th, a DeKalb County Interdiction Agent along with DeKalb County Investigations Unit, and Officers with Henagar and Sylvania Police Department executed a search warrant on Longview Drive in Henagar.  During the search, 143 grams of methamphetamine, three firearms and drug paraphernalia were found.  Justin Wade Bass (25 of Henagar) was charged with Trafficking in Any Illegal Drug, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 3 warrants on Failure to Appear.  Jennifer Noel Lawson (37 of Trenton, Ga) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Trafficking in Any Illegal Drug.  This case is still under investigation and further charges could be pending.

DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden said of the incident: "I am so proud of our Law Enforcement in our county for the amazing jobs they do daily to keep this poison off of our streets and out of the hands of our children.  Almost everyone knows someone that has been affected by drugs and know that it not only affects the user but their family and friends as well.  And for our guys and girls to confiscate any amount before it gets into the hands of your family is considered a win."

"God Bless!" Concluded Sheriff Welden.
