Census Bureau: More women than men in Jackson County in 2019

Of the 51,852 people living in Jackson County in 2019, 51.1 percent (26,471) were women and 48.9 percent (25,381) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the NE Alabama News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 15,551-to-15,206. In the 65 and over age range, there were 5,661 females and 4,452 males.
