Albertville City Schools issued the following announcement on Aug. 25.

Nutrition is critical to learning & we are happy to serve students no matter where learning happens.

Albertville City Schools Child Nutrition Program will offer to students enrolled virtually a weekly "pick-up" of up to 10 meals (5 breakfasts, 5 lunches).  This is a partnership we ask you to very seriously commit to on a weekly basis.  We want to offer the resource & avoid waste so that we can continue to provide these meals for virtual learners.

Weekly orders are placed by 9am on the Friday before pick-up either by text, phone or email.  Pick-up will be on Wednesdays from 10-10:30am.  You may choose the location of pick up from the sites listed below, but all 9th-12 grade students must pick up at Albertville High (due to age requirements for meals).  Students in K-8th grade may select from all other schools, not necessarily the school in which they are enrolled.  A meal card will be given for each student &  is required at pick-up for meals to be received. An extra card will be given & up to two other adults may be listed & allowed to pick up for your student(s).

PRICE:  Meals are at no cost to the students, but meal applications will be requested from families in order to continue offering these at no charge.  Albertville is now a Provision 2 school and must collect meal applications at least every 4 years.
