Mountain Lakes Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
Measuring in at a 69,000 Acre Lake – Lake Guntersville spans two Northeast Alabama Counties (bordering Tennessee) and has an abundance of unique outcrops to explore: including access to a secret waterfall cave.
Adjacent to the Raccoon Creek Public Hunting Area located off 117 near Stevenson, visitors have access to a public boat launch at the end of county road 491. Managed by TVA, this public boat launch is located directly under Gorham’s Bluff Lodge in Pisgah and is home to several secret caves that are only accessible by boat.
The following video shows the recap from a group excursion we took to access two caves, during the summer of 2020.
