On Friday, Feb. 28, former North Jackson High School standout Avery Wynne’s current college team, the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders, won 2-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Illinois State Redbirds.

The game took place at Blue Raider Softball Field. This was their first matchup against the Redbirds this season.

The Blue Raiders’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at Blue Raider Softball Field against Illinois State Redbirds.
