On Friday, Feb. 28, former Scottsboro High School standout Alyssa Smart’s current college team, the Pace Setters, won 9-1 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Fairmont State Fighting Falcons.

The game took place at Duvall-Rosier Field. This was their second matchup against the Fighting Falcons this season.

The Setters’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 12 p.m. at Robb Field against Shippensburg Raiders.
