On Feb. 9, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspected Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation in Guntersville to assess their monitoring of marketed animal drugs, feed, and devices, data from the FDA’s website show.
The final report advised Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation to take voluntary measures to improve the management of its operations.
The FDA regularly inspects facilities nationwide to assess whether their workplaces and products comply with laws and regulations, with the intent of advancing public health. Results from these inspections are made available to the public.
As stated on its website, the FDA is a federal agency chiefly tasked with supervising the production and distribution of human and animal drugs, biological items, medical products, and tobacco for safety and quality.
