Former Scottsboro High School standout and current Pace Setters player, Alyssa Smart will compete in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.
They begin the tournament as a number one seed against the eighth seeded D’Youville Saints.
The first game is on Thursday, May 8 at 11 a.m.
The week starting Monday, Sept. 1 will feature action from these former Northeast Alabama area high school stars.
The upcoming week starting Monday, Aug. 25 will feature these former Northeast Alabama area high school athletes.
Of the 260 students set to graduate in Jackson County in the 2023-24 school year, 224 were considered ready for college.
